JP THE WAVY, Ralph & CYBER RUI Lead Huge Late-Night Hip-Hop Gathering in Shibuya

Tokyo’s hip-hop scene is preparing for another massive night as JP THE WAVY, ralph, CYBER RUI, Shurkn Pap, Campanella and more come together for Jack & Music in Shibuya on September 26.

The late-night event will take over both Spotify O-EAST and duo MUSIC EXCHANGE, bringing 25 artists and DJs into the heart of Shibuya for a night spanning Japanese hip-hop, alternative sounds and club culture.

The latest lineup announcement significantly increased the scale of the event.

JP THE WAVY, Campanella, nasthug, JUN TANAKA, CYBERHACKSYSTEM, BiBiYUA, FELINE, TxBONE, KZMT, Mark West, U-holic, SAKURA, AKARI, MIWA, MOSHPIT, hayato hattori, Gen Yamada and OTA were added to the bill.

They join the previously announced ralph, ALI, 3Li¥en, CYBER RUI, Shurkn Pap, Ashely and ryota.

JP THE WAVY Joins a Stacked Tokyo Lineup

JP THE WAVY’s addition gives the event another major name from Japan’s current rap generation.

The Kanagawa-born rapper has spent years developing an audience beyond Japan, combining Japanese hip-hop with influences from American and wider Asian rap culture.

At Jack & Music, however, WAVY will be part of a much broader snapshot of Japan’s current scene.

ralph brings the harder grime and UK-influenced side of Japanese rap, while CYBER RUI represents a younger and increasingly experimental generation.

CYBER RUI has continued developing that direction in 2026 with her album PROJECT REBOOT, a project centered around reconnecting with herself and the world around her.

Then there is Shurkn Pap, the Himeji rapper and MaisonDe member whose melodic approach provides another contrast to the harder sounds elsewhere on the lineup.

Campanella Added in Second Lineup Announcement

Another significant addition is Campanella.

His presence gives Jack & Music a lineup that stretches across different corners and generations of Japanese hip-hop rather than concentrating exclusively on one current sound.

That diversity is reinforced by artists and DJs including ALI, 3Li¥en, Ashely, nasthug, JUN TANAKA and BiBiYUA.

The result should make the night feel closer to a cross-section of contemporary Tokyo music culture than a conventional rap concert.

Two Shibuya Venues, One Late-Night Event

Jack & Music will operate across Spotify O-EAST and duo MUSIC EXCHANGE, both located in Shibuya’s Dogenzaka district.

Doors open at 11:30 p.m. on September 26, with the event continuing until 5 a.m. the following morning.

That overnight format puts the event directly into Tokyo’s club culture.

Instead of audiences arriving for one headliner and leaving after a conventional concert, Jack & Music is designed around moving through a night of live artists, DJs and different sounds.

With 25 performers now confirmed, the two-venue setup should give the event room to move between mainstream Japanese rap, underground sounds and electronic-influenced club music.

Tokyo Hip-Hop Takes Over Shibuya

The event also arrives during a particularly active September for Tokyo hip-hop.

Major events are appearing throughout Shinjuku and Shibuya, while Japanese rappers are increasingly collaborating with artists and producers from elsewhere in Asia and the United States.

Jack & Music captures another side of that movement.

JP THE WAVY, ralph, CYBER RUI, Shurkn Pap and Campanella don’t represent one single style of Japanese hip-hop. Their differences are exactly what makes the lineup interesting.

Put them alongside the younger artists, DJs and producers filling the rest of the bill, and September 26 becomes another opportunity to see several sides of Japan’s current music scene converge in one place.
