KOJOE Announces Career-Spanning “ORGANIZED CONFUSION” Solo Show at Shibuya WWW

Veteran rapper, producer and engineer KOJOE is preparing to bring nearly two decades of hip-hop history together for a special solo performance in Tokyo.

The Niigata-born, Queens-raised artist has announced ORGANIZED CONFUSION, a one-man show taking place at Shibuya WWW on December 6, 2026.

Announced in September, the concert is expected to trace KOJOE’s journey from his beginnings in New York hip-hop through his return to Japan and into the extensive network he has since built through J.Studio.

Rather than concentrating exclusively on a new project, ORGANIZED CONFUSION is being presented as a career-spanning performance covering both older records and KOJOE’s more recent work.

From Queens to Japanese Hip-Hop

KOJOE’s story has always existed between two hip-hop worlds.

Born in Niigata, he moved to the United States as a teenager and was raised in Queens, New York, where he began developing his career inside the city’s hip-hop culture.

That period eventually led to KOJOE signing with influential independent hip-hop label Rawkus Records in 2007.

After returning to Japan in 2009, he began establishing a sound that didn’t require him to choose between his American and Japanese influences.

Japanese and English could exist within the same records. Rapping could move naturally into soulful singing. And his experience behind the microphone gradually expanded into production, engineering and artist development.

That combination has given KOJOE an unusual position within Japanese hip-hop.

A Collaboration List That Crosses Generations

KOJOE’s catalog also tells the story of how widely his career stretches.

Internationally, he has worked with artists including Talib Kweli, Styles P and Raekwon.

Within Japan, the list reaches across several generations and different corners of the scene.

5lack, ISSUGI, Senninsho, SEEDA, BES, FEBB, OMSB, Awich, Daichi Yamamoto, Campanella, BudaMunk, OLIVE OIL and Aaron Choulai are among the artists who have crossed paths with KOJOE creatively.

Tracks including “good day” featuring MONJU, “Cross Color” featuring Daichi Yamamoto and “BoSS RuN DeM” featuring AKANE and Awich demonstrate just how wide that network has become.

His 2017 album here remains another important example.

The project brought together artists including 5lack, ISSUGI, OMSB, FEBB, BES, Awich and Daichi Yamamoto, capturing KOJOE’s ability to connect artists who might otherwise occupy different spaces within Japanese hip-hop.

J.Studio Becomes a Network

KOJOE’s influence isn’t limited to his own records.

Through J.Studio, he has increasingly operated as a producer, engineer and creative director while helping create an environment where rappers, beatmakers and other artists can work together.

What began around Tokyo has expanded into a wider network connecting Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa and Yamaguchi.

Artists and producers associated with that network include MONJU, Tha Jointz, MuKuRo, LazyWii, BUPPON, 1Co.INR, POM, The Priceless and DJ NAPPY BWOY.

That work has allowed KOJOE to occupy two positions simultaneously.

He remains an active rapper releasing and performing his own music, while also working behind the scenes to connect younger artists and regional scenes.

2026 Keeps J.Studio Moving

That network has remained active throughout 2026.

Among this year’s projects is KOJOE and Blooky Jeeky’s SOUTH PARK Farm East Development, while releases and collaborations have continued emerging from artists connected to the wider J.Studio community.

That makes ORGANIZED CONFUSION more than a nostalgia-driven career retrospective.

The Shibuya show is also intended to represent KOJOE’s current position within Japanese hip-hop and the culture that has developed around J.Studio.

“ORGANIZED CONFUSION” Comes to Shibuya

For the December performance, KOJOE is expected to move through music from different stages of his career, including both longstanding records and newer material.

The format should provide room to explore the contrasts that have defined his music from the beginning:

New York and Japan.

English and Japanese.

Rapping and singing.

Artist and producer.

Those contrasts aren’t separate chapters of KOJOE’s career. They’ve increasingly become parts of the same identity.

And that makes Shibuya WWW an interesting setting for the show.

Instead of an enormous arena production, ORGANIZED CONFUSION puts KOJOE into a venue closely associated with Tokyo’s independent and alternative music culture.

After years spent connecting generations, cities and different sides of hip-hop, December 6 offers KOJOE an opportunity to put that entire journey into one performance.

KOJOE SOLO SHOW “ORGANIZED CONFUSION” takes place Sunday, December 6, 2026 at Shibuya WWW. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and the show begins at 6 p.m. Advance tickets are ¥6,000 plus a drink charge.
