NORIKIYO Drops “You Know What I Mean?” From Behind Bars

April 22, 2025 | Tokyo, Japan

Japanese rapper NORIKIYO, currently serving time, has released his new single “You Know What I Mean?”. Produced by BACHLOGIC and filmed before his incarceration, the track comes with a music video directed by Agro Creative.

The real buzz, however, comes from his bold move behind bars: launching a crowdfunding campaign to support a solo concert after his release. On April 1, NORIKIYO posted a self-described “criminal declaration” on his official website, announcing his intent to “attempt something never done before in Japan.” This campaign marks the first time a Japanese inmate has initiated a crowdfunding effort of this scale.

Rebels Welcome

Staying true to his raw and provocative style—first seen in his 2023 album Criminal Declaration—NORIKIYO refers to his projects as “crimes” and invites fans to be his “accomplices” by supporting the initiative. The campaign is run via ZAKAI.JP, the rapper’s merch store and now his crowdfunding hub.

Support Perks Include:

  • Escape Guide: a daily prison diary he’s written since incarceration
  • Exclusive Album Download: THE JAIL’S KITCHEN MIX PLATE (14 tracks)
  • Daily Instagram Journal: personal insights posted each day until June 23, 2025

“You Know What I Mean?” is now streaming on all platforms via YUKICHI RECORDS, continuing NORIKIYO’s legacy of defiance, creativity, and uncompromising vision—even from within prison walls.
