MATSURI PARIS: A Celebration of Contemporary Japanese Culture at Parc Floral de Paris

Paris is set to become a vibrant hub of Japanese culture on June 14 and 15, 2025, as the Parc Floral de Paris hosts MATSURI PARIS, a unique event designed to showcase the diverse and captivating facets of Japan. This cultural festival promises an immersive experience, inviting visitors to explore the richness and modernity of Japanese traditions through three distinct areas: craftsmanship, music, and street food.

A key highlight of MATSURI PARIS is its exclusive music lineup, curated in collaboration with Real Japanese Hip Hop (RJHH), which will spotlight contemporary Japanese artists. For this special edition, the festival will welcome three artists directly from Japan: singers Minako OJI and NENE, and rapper Lipstorm. These performances will be complemented by DJ Sonikem, whose innovative album “Shin Jidai,” released on September 15, 2024, blends Asian and Western sounds through collaborations with Japanese and Korean artists.

Featured Artists:

  • Lipstorm: Hailing from Nagasaki, Lipstorm’s powerful lyrical style and hip-hop influences have made her a notable figure in the Tokyo J-RAP scene. With collaborations dating back to 2013 and recent projects with Sonikem, including “Never Stop EP” and “INSURGENT,” Lipstorm’s performance is highly anticipated. A new EP is slated for release in December 2025.
  • Minako OJI: A multi-instrumentalist from Fukuoka, Minako OJI’s eclectic musical journey has led her to Paris, where she continues to blend her diverse influences. With singles like “Overtourism” and “SHE,” she is set to release more music in 2025.
  • NENE: This singer-songwriter from Osaka draws inspiration from neo-soul, creating a unique blend of R&B and soul. Her delicate yet powerful voice has garnered her recognition in Japan and internationally. With EPs like “Room 25” and “DROWN IN MY KARMA,” and collaborations with artists like Warushi and 1Law, NENE’s performance is sure to captivate audiences.

MATSURI PARIS aims to offer more than just a music festival. It’s a comprehensive cultural immersion, where traditional crafts, contemporary music, and authentic street food converge to create an unforgettable experience. The event emphasizes environmental consciousness, ensuring a sustainable celebration of Japanese culture.

Join us on June 14 and 15, 2025, at Parc Floral de Paris for MATSURI PARIS, a unique cultural encounter that bridges the gap between Japan and France, showcasing the vibrant and evolving landscape of Japanese artistry.
