INNOCENSE’s “Night Blues” Unveiled: Jazzy Rhymes and Raw Emotion

Osaka’s hip-hop scene is buzzing with the release of INNOCENSE’s new music video, “Night Blues,” a collaboration with KN-SUN from the esteemed Osaka group Improve. This track, plucked from INNOCENSE’s recently released album “PROGRESS,” offers a compelling blend of authentic lyricism and smooth, jazzy rhythms, creating a sonic landscape that resonates with raw emotion.

“Night Blues” deviates from the typical urban hustle, offering listeners a refined and introspective experience. The cinematic narrative, woven with intoxicating lyrics and soothing melodies, allows both INNOCENSE and KN-SUN to share their personal “blues,” transforming their scars into powerful, enriching experiences. The track’s atmosphere is both intimate and expansive, inviting listeners to delve into the artists’ emotional landscapes.

The song is a highlight from INNOCENSE’s album “PROGRESS,” which dropped digitally on March 26, 2025. The album boasts a substantial 20 tracks, showcasing INNOCENSE’s versatility and depth. Alongside “Night Blues,” listeners can explore tracks like “LIKE A RIVER FLOW,” “WAKE UP JPN UNDERGROUND,” “Shiawase de Are -幸せであれ-,” and “Get Up Stand Up.”

To celebrate the album’s release, a special party is scheduled for April 27, 2025, at Compufunk Records in Osaka. This event presents a rare opportunity to witness the dynamic live performances of INNOCENSE and KN-SUN, two artists known for their captivating stage presence.

INNOCENSE’s journey through Japan’s underground hip-hop scenes, spanning Hyogo, Osaka, Tokyo, and Fukuoka, has shaped his unique artistic voice. His accolades, including being the first Grand Champion of the Osaka Spoken Word Slam in 2006 and his freestyle performances in New York in 2013, underscore his multifaceted talent. 1 “PROGRESS,” his fourth album under his label SOUL EATER RECORDINGS, represents the culmination of his seasoned experience and refined artistry.
